Music 4 You – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Music 4 You. By enrolling in our lessons, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These are divided into Section 1: In-School Lessons (provided at school campuses) and Section 2: Studio Lessons(booked via our website).

Section 1: In-School Lessons (Term Agreement)

These terms apply only to students attending lessons during school hours on school campuses.

1. Agreement Precedence

Existing Contracts: For students who have already signed a specific physical or digital "Lesson Agreement", the terms of that signed document will remain in full effect.

General Terms: For all other students who have not signed a specific prior agreement, the terms listed below shall apply.

2. Term Commitment

Duration: Enrolment is per school term. This agreement automatically renews each term unless written notice is provided.

Frequency: Each student receives one 30-minute lesson per week following the official South Australian school calendar.

3. Attendance & Missed Lessons (Strict Policy)

No Rescheduling: Due to strict school schedules and travel between campuses, missed lessons cannot be rescheduled or refunded, regardless of the reason (illness, school activities, family holidays, or pupil-free days).

Video Feedback Option: If a student cannot attend, they may submit a video recording of their practice by the day before the scheduled lesson. The instructor will review the video and provide personalized feedback via email during the student's scheduled lesson time.

Pupil-Free Days: On pupil-free days, lessons do not take place in person. To ensure continuity, students are encouraged to utilize the Video Feedback Option mentioned above.

4. Payment & Withdrawal

Payment Due Date: Full payment must be received by the third week of each term to ensure continuity.

Withdrawal Notice: Two weeks' written notice is required to withdraw from lessons. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a $50 cancellation fee.

Section 2: Studio Lessons (Website Bookings)

These terms apply to Single Sessions, Flexi Passes, and School Term Courses booked via the Music 4 You portal.

1. Lesson Categories

Single Sessions: One-off lessons with no long-term commitment.

10-Week School Term Course (Fixed Calendar): A structured program with a locked-in weekly time slot reserved exclusively for the student for the full 10 weeks.

Flexi Pass (5 or 10 Lessons): Prepaid credits for students requiring a flexible schedule.

2. Attendance & Rescheduling Policy

For School Term Courses (Fixed Slot): As your specific time slot is reserved exclusively for you for the duration of the term, we do not offer general rescheduling or make-up lessons for missed classes (personal commitments, holidays, etc.). This mirrors standard educational institution policies.

For Single Sessions & Flexi Passes: A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a session.

3. Medical Exceptions (Applies to All Studio Lessons)

Requirement: If a student is unwell, a make-up lesson will be considered only upon presentation of a valid medical certificate.

Conditions: Any approved medical make-up lesson must be completed within the same school term, subject to available gaps in the instructor’s schedule. Credits do not roll over to the next term or holidays.

4. Payments & Refunds

Pre-payment: All lessons and courses must be paid in full at the time of booking or via Direct Deposit before the first session.

Refund Policy: All payments are non-refundable. In the event of an instructor cancellation, a credit or refund will be issued.

Section 3: General Rules (All Students)

1. Student Responsibilities

Preparation: Students must arrive on time with their instrument, music folder, and necessary accessories (picks, tuners, etc.).

Practice: Regular practice at home is essential to ensure consistent improvement and progress.

2. Instructor Cancellations

If the instructor cancels a lesson, it will be credited to the following term, rescheduled within two months, or a proportional refund will be issued if no other option is available.
